After enjoying virtually perfect skin in my late teens and early twenties I now have depressingly spotty skin. I'm nearly 30 and this just shouldn't be happening. I have to go to meetings with spots and I feel like a 14-year-old.

Adult acne is massively on the increase so you're not alone. In many instances it is due to hormone imbalance, attributed to (among other things) prolonged use of the contraceptive pill and 'foreign' oestregens found in chemical preservatives such as Parabens and Phenoxyethanol.

I am 27 and think I have Rosacea as I easily get a red face. My cheeks have broken veins and I have sensitive skin which tends to be oily.
View answer »

It sounds like you might have the beginnings of Rosacea although it is more common in women over 30. Rosacea only surfaces on the cheeks and along the cheekbone.

If I use a product for spotty skin it dries out my skin. If it is a dry skin product, then it make me me spotty. I just don't know what to use or do!
View answer »

Your skin sounds unsettled, so first step is to focus on rebalancing your skin. The products you are using for oily skin may contain chemicals that are drying your skin out and irritating it.

I have dry skin with oily T-zone, breakouts on and off, have started to get wrinkles and sometimes sensitive skin (redness, itchiness). Which cream would you recommend for me?
View answer »

Only moisturise in the morning and leave your skin to breathe at night. Avoid foaming facial washes and face creams that contain beeswax or chemical preservatives such as phenoxyethanol. I'd recommend our Chamomile & Rosehip Cream for Sensitive Skin.

I have suffered from quite nasty eczema over the winter and the patches on my hands will not go.
View answer »

There are a number of chemicals commonly used in skin / bodycare products that are are known to trigger Eczema. A lot of brands claiming to be 'all-natural' still use a lot of chemicals (there is no labelling regulation to stop them unfortunately).

I have dry-ish skin with fine lines and a light fine complexion. Which of your moisturisers would you recommend for a bit of an overnight treatment?

We would recommend our Macadamia & Rose Dry Skin Cream as the best over-night cream for you as it's ultra nourishing.

I am a redhead with very pale freckly skin, which gets high coloured when I drink alcohol. Which of your products would be suitable for me?
View answer »

I think our products would be great for your skin - I designed them with sensitive skin in mind. I myself suffer from urticaria (skin allergy) and hyper-sensitive skin and know how hard it is to find products that are truly chemical-free.

I have been told I have lichen planus. I need something as the itching its driving me mad.
View answer »

Lichen planus, like many skin allergies, is thought to be an 'auto-immune' condition. It is 'triggered' by a virus or other environmental factor and attacks cells on the skin, which leads to the inflammation.

I am 25yrs old and fed up with having 'teenage' skin. I have lots of spots around my jaw line and chin and the odd one on other areas of my face.
View answer »

I would recommend our Geranium & Thistle Cream. Geranium is brilliant at rebalancing the skin and Thistle oil is a beautifully dry oil that reduces pores and clears congestion. Only apply in the morning and leave your skin to breathe at night.

I have developed hyper sensitive skin, almost over night, starting under the left arm pit down to the back of the wrist.
View answer »

Rashes starting in the arm pit could be linked to the lymph nodes there and be an immune response to a local infection. Many allergies are auto immune conditions. I would recommend you see a doctor to get a proper medical diagnosis.

It sounds like you could be allergic to one or more of the ingredients in your skincare products. I would recommend our Chamomile & Rosehip cream as it is great for sensitive skin.

I have lots of very small dots on my cheeks, not pimples but blemishes or marks.
View answer »

It sounds like you might have the beginnings of Rosacea - a dermatologist would be able to confirm if this is the case. It is common in women over 30 and surfaces mostly on the cheeks and along the cheekbone.

I have typical finnish skin type, which is dry and thin. I have suffered from dry and atopic skin my whole life.
View answer »

If your skin is very dry but is thin and prone to redness I would recommend our Chamomile & Rosehip Cream for you. This is a gentle but very nourishing moisturiser - the chamomile contains azulene which is a natural anti-inflammatory and will calm redness. The rosehip will help to strengthen the skin.
