Unsettled Skin
Dear Sarah,
My skin is sensitive.
If I use a product for spotty skin it dries out my skin. If it is a dry skin product, then it make me me spotty.
If it is for combination, then somehow it just isn't enough to moisturize.
For some reason my current product makes my skin feel nice but when you look at it, it's dry looking.
Also I am getting under skin spots on my cheeks.
I just don't know what to use or do!
Jackie

Dear Jackie,
Your skin sounds quite unsettled, so I think the first step should be to focus on rebalancing your skin.
The products you are using for oily skin may contain chemicals that are drying your skin out and irritating it.
Opting for a dry skin cream isn't really the solution either as you've got young skin so the oils will be too rich for your complexion and will clog the pores.
The moisturiser I'd recommend for you is our Geranium & Thistle Cream.
Geranium is brilliant at rebalancing the skin and giving a more even skin tone.
Thistle oil (extracted from the Safflower) is a nice dry oil that reduces pore size and clears congestion under the skin.
Sometimes chopping and changing between different products can temporarily overload your skin with different chemicals. Switching to just one organic (so chemical-free) facial moisturiser will give your skin a break.
Echinacea and Goldenseal are considered to be great antibacterial herbs and can help with clearing your spots naturally. You can buy in tincture form from most good health food shops.
