For years, customers asked us for a foam cleanser that targets blemishes without stripping sensitive skin. We said no – because foaming agents often leave skin feeling uncomfortably tight. But we’re innovators; so we did the impossible, and created a feel-good foam cleanser that helps to keep breakouts at bay while locking hydration in. A new Phaze in sensitive skincare, if you will.

Our fresh take on foam changes the game. A green gel inside and out, it’s expertly formulated with certified natural actives that work in perfect harmony.
The key to it all? A plant-derived PHA. This exfoliating acid is kinder than AHAs, yet just as effective at removing impurities, helping to keep skin clear over time. Our trials proved it, too. Twice as many testers said the appearance of blackheads was reduced after two weeks, compared to the initial use*.
Biosurfactants bring the foam, with none of the irritation. That’s all down to our barrier-supporting Prebiotic Inulin and NMF Sugar Complex, which locks in hydration to keep skin soft and smooth. Clear skin, without compromise.

POLYHYDROXY ACID (PHA)
This sensitive skin-friendly acid – otherwise known as Gluconolactone – is sourced from the glucose in maize. Thanks to its large molecules which keep it on the skin’s surface, it’s kinder than other exfoliators (including AHAs) but no less hard-working. It sloughs away dead skin cells, unclogging pores for clearer skin.

PREBIOTIC INULIN
Extracted from chicory roots, this protective prebiotic rebalances the skin’s microbiota to form a natural defensive shield – keeping the skin barrier healthy to help calm sensitivity. We only source our Inulin from suppliers that ensure it's scientifically tested for its prebiotic properties.

NMF SUGAR COMPLEX
Sourced from the sugar in harvested kernel corn, this hero hydrator is almost identical to the carbohydrate complex found in the skin’s own Natural Moisturising Factor. It binds to keratin like a magnet, staying behind once the cleanser is rinsed away – locking in moisture for visibly smoother and deeply hydrated skin.

DIRECTIONS & RECYCLING
Apply 1-2 pumps to damp skin. Gently massage across the face, avoiding the delicate eye area. Rinse, and pat dry.
For best results, use in the evening after removing make-up with Light Work Cleansing Oil. It can also be used in the mornings if you feel the need to.
For a full clarifying routine, follow with All Becomes Clear Blemish Serum and Carbon Star Overnight Face Oil.

Can I use Phaze every day? + —Yes! Phaze is a gentle, non-drying formula so it is suitable for daily use.

Do I need to apply SPF? + —Phaze will not cause photosensitivity, but we always encourage using SPF daily.

Should I use a separate exfoliator? + —Yes, you can still exfoliate as normal. We recommend exfoliating 1-2 times per week.

I can't choose between Phaze and Middlemist Seven. + —Phaze is a gently foaming face wash, designed for oily and combination skin. Its mild exfoliating properties are perfect if you are prone to breakouts or congestion. If you have dry or reactive skin, we recommend our Middlemist Seven Cream Cleanser.

Can Phaze be used to remove make-up? + —Phaze has not been designed to remove make-up. We recommend double cleansing, using our Light Work Cleansing Oil first to remove your make-up, followed by Phaze to clear dirt and impurities.

I have dry skin. Will Phaze be suitable for me? + —Phaze is best for oily and combination skin. We recommend using our Middlemist Seven Cleanser if you have dry skin.

What does it smell like? + —We use Lime, Frankincense and Rosemary Oils which provide a sweet, citrus scent.

How do PHAs differ to AHAs? + —They are similar in the way they work, dissolving dead skin cells to reduce build-up. However, PHAs have larger molecules, so they do not penetrate as deeply as AHAs – meaning they're much kinder to sensitive skin.
