Our original broad spectrum mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin. This reef-friendly vegan formula boasts broad spectrum, blue-light and infra-red protection, to ward off sun damage without the irritation.

Sensitive skin and SPF have not always got along. In fact 50% of Pai customers* have reacted negatively to an SPF. That’s because suncream is designed to stay put to maximise protection – which can lead to blocked pores, sensitivity and irritation. Going without sunscreen isn’t a safe option either. Burning, premature ageing, a higher risk of skin cancer? That’s a hard no from us. Our customers need a daily SPF they can trust, and that even the most sensitive skin can tolerate.

Our organic sun cream is powered by natural Zinc Oxide – which offers broad spectrum protection without leaving a white cast. Cotton Extract helps skin recover from the damage caused by UVB, UVA, infra-red and visible radiation.

Directions

Apply generously and evenly after moisturiser, but before make-up. It's fast-absorbing and non-greasy so you won't need to wait around for long. Apply your sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply throughout the day as needed.

Acting as a physical shield, this all-natural mineral filter protects against UVA and UVB light. We use non-nano Zinc Oxide in our sunscreen which means the particles aren't small enough to be absorbed or to interfere with ocean life.
Cotton Extract

Rich in Vitamin E, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, this hardworking active helps protect skin from photo-ageing and damage caused by the sun's harmful rays.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have rosacea, will this SPF be suitable?

Yes! We use natural non-nano Zinc Oxide – a mineral sunscreen filter – which is better tolerated by sensitive and rosacea-prone skin than chemical filters. It acts as a physical shield against the sun's rays, without irritating hypersensitive skin.

Is it reef-safe?

Yes, we use Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, a mineral filter.

I have acne-prone skin, will this SPF be suitable?

Yes. Our SPF is a non-greasy formula, suited to all skin types.

Is the SPF water resistant?

No. You will need to reapply our SPF after any exposure to water.

Will this leave a white cast on darker skin tones?

We have tested our SPF against other mineral sunscreens and found it did not leave a white cast on the skin. However, the results can vary from person to person. If it is not suitable, you can return it to us as per our 90 day returns policy.

Is this suitable during pregnancy?

Our British Summer Time SPF can be used throughout your entire pregnancy. However, it does contain a very small percentage of essential oils. If you would prefer to avoid essentials oils during your first trimester, we recommend waiting until your second trimester before introducing our SPF into your skinare routine.

Should SPF be applied before or after moisturiser?

SPF should be the final step in your skincare routine. It is best to apply your moisturiser first and layer your SPF over the top.

Can I use this SPF without a moisturiser?

While our British Summer Time SPF contains moisturising properites, it won't be enough to hydrate the skin alone. We recommend that you apply a moistursier underneath.

Why is it SPF30 and not SPF50?

In order for us to formulate to a certified COSMOS standard, we have to use non-nano mineral filters. When used in high amounts, this can cause a chalky white cast on the skin. We wanted to balance wearability with our certifications – to bring you a sunscreen with a finish you'd love to wear every day – so we formulated an SPF30. But rest assured, SPF30 delivers almost 97% protection vs SPF50’s 98% protection from UV rays. And as for SPF50, our in-house chemists are always looking for new technology to evolve our products – so watch this space…
