ORGANICS & ETHICS

Our Certifications

If you have sensitive skin, it’s so important to know exactly what’s in your products. At Pai, we believe in quality, purity and transparency.

For us, transparency means seeking external certification so you know all of our formulas stand up to scrutiny – and we’re proud of the lengths we go to to make sure they do!

Pai products are certified by the following bodies:

Cosmos Natural

There's a huge amount of natural products on the market. However the term natural is often left to interpretation and it's often hard to know whether the products you buy actually contains ingredients which fit with the natural ethos. We believe that if a product is natural, the majority of ingredients must be from nature.

To address this, our products are certified to a Soil Association COSMOS Natural standard. COSMOS Natural products do not have to contain any organic ingredients - although ours do!

This involves third party checks, annual inspections, detailed production records and lots of traceability paperwork - but it means our products can carry the Soil Association COSMOS Natural logo and you know that:

  • No animal testing has been conducted
  • A minimum of 98% of the ingredients must be from nature. Any non-natural ingredients which are necessary to keep the product fresh or make it work should meet strict standards, green chemistry principles and cannot exceed 2%.
  • No endangered plant species may be used and no GM Ingredients.
  • No controversial chemicals, parabens and phthalates are in the product
  • No synthetic colours, dyes or fragrances.

Soil Association

We believe choosing organic where possible is the best choice for our health and the environment.

So you can be sure our certified organic products are truly organic, we are registered with the Soil Association.

This involves third party checks, annual inspections, detailed production records and lots of traceability paperwork – but it means our products can carry the Soil Association logo and you know that:
  • Pai products carrying the Soil Association are 100% natural and at least 70% of (non-water) ingredients are organically grown and harvested.
  • All of our organic ingredients are non-GM, sustainably grown (without pesticides) and harvested, and extracted without the use of chemical solvents.
  • Any non-organic ingredients we include have passed strict toxicity and biodegradability criteria and carry a non-GM certificate.

Leaping Bunny

We are against animal testing and are Cruelty-Free (BUAV Leaping Bunny) accredited. This means:

We do not test our products on animals.
We do not source ingredients that are tested on animals.
We do not sell to Chinese stores or any other country that requires animal testing as a condition of importing.

Vegan Society

We believe you can make great skincare from plant-derived ingredients alone.

Our products are independently verified by the Vegan Society so you can shop with complete peace of mind.
